The Padmashali Community originally belong to the Telangana State of Southern Hyderabad. Affected by natural calamities like plague and famine, they were forced to migrate to several other places, during the Peshwa era (AD 1850-1860). The chief occupation of the Padmashili community being weaving they continued to do the same even after settling in different places. They are recognized for their hardwork and sincerity. And with their expertise and skill they earned a prominent place of pride in Solapur City.
