Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS)

Overview

A Health Science Complex for Medical, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and other related para – medical courses was conceptualized to be established at Secunderabad to provide vocational and technical education to the children of serving and retired regular Army personnel. Army College of Dental Science (ACDS) is the first among the above to be established here.Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad has been established by Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). The College aims at imparting high standard dental education coupled with the development of good moral character among the children of regular army personnel/ regular army pensioners and war widows. The college was conceptualized in 1996 and started in 2001 at temporary location. It moved to the present location in 2003. The present college campus was inaugurated by the Chief of Army Staff, Gen N C Vij, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, ADC, COAS. The college is recognized by Dental Council of India and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is providing degree courses in BDS as well as MDS. The Army Welfare Education Society aims to provide quality education at affordable cost. The college motto is “LEARN TO EXCEL”.
