Overview

GITAM SOCIETY’S OBJECTIVE of providing accessible, affordable and quality Dental Education and Oral Health Care to North Coastal Andhra, led to the conception of ‘GITAM Dental College & Hospital”. The Dental College and Hospital was established in the year 2001 with an annual intake of 40 students and from the academic year 2003-04 the annual intake is increased to 100 students. Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India issued letter of recognition for BDS Degree awarded by Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada with respect to BDS Students of GITAM Dental College & Hospital, Visakhapatnam, vide their letter F.No.V-12017/31/2003-DE, dt.25-06-2008. GITAM Dental College & Hospital is one of the premier educational institutions offering quality and affordable Dental care in India. The Dental College has excellent infrastructure with over 1,75,000 sft. Of built up area and is the largest of its kind in Andhra Pradesh. It has well equipped state-of-the-art library, modern clinical departments and pre-clinical and clinical laboratories. There is free transport facility for the patients and the treatment is also provided free of cost for the deserving poor.
