Overview

Shri Jairambhai Patel Institute of Business Management and Computer Applications (Formerly known as National Institute of Cooperative Management), managed by National Institute of Cooperative Management Society (NICM Society) has been incorporated by the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Ltd. in 1995, as non-profit, autonomous Institute and registered under the Societies Registration Act – 1860 as well as Public Trust Act - 1952. NICM Society is devoted to activities concerned with education. The Institute is conducting two-year full-time MBA programme since 1999 and three-year full-time MCA programme since 2001. Both the MBA and MCA programmes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The Institute was affiliated to Gujarat University (State University of Gujarat) from its inception i.e. from 1999 to 2008-09. The Government of Gujarat has established a new University namely Gujarat Technological University 2008 and all the Technical self financed Institutes running MBA, MCA, Pharmacy, Engineering institutes have been affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. Consequently, this Institute has also become the part of Gujarat Technological University from the year 2008-09. It is noteworthy to mention that, during the span of one decade only, the Institute has achieved several milestone and it been recognized as one of the eminent institute of higher education and ranked one among the top five Self Finance B-Schools in Gujarat state.
