The SSPM\'s College of Engineering is the First Engineering degree college in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra started in the year 1999 by Sindhudurg Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (SSPM), Kankavali. Maharashtra assembly. The Mandal also runs \"Dairy Development college\" in Kankavali affiliated to Konkan Krishi Vidyapith , Dapoli and in the field of social welfare , it has setup a \"Vridhashram\" at Bhiravande near Kankavali.
