Overview

With a noble aim to promote higher education in Virar and its adjoining rural and adivasi backward areas, with a population of more than 12 Lakh , the Late Shri. Vishnu Waman Thakur Charitable Trust started the Utkarsha Vidyalaya in 1989, and the Junior College was established in the year 1991, approved by Maharashtra Board. The aim of the Trust is to develop the college into a leading Centre of Education in this Region. As part of this vision, the Trust today offers graduate and post graduate courses across the main streams of Arts, Commerce, Hotel Management, IT, Science, Architecture, Applied Art & Craft, MCA and Management.
