The Government of Karnataka notified the CMR University Act, 2013 to establish CMR University in Karnataka State vide Gazette Notification dated 16thMay, 2013 and has provided that the CMR University shall have its Head Quarters in Bangalore.The Higher Education Department,Government of Karnatakavide its Notification No. ED 91 UNE 2013 dated 12-11-2013 has accorded its approval to the promoting body “CMR Jnanadhara Trust” to establish and commence a Private University in the name of “CMR University” at Bangalore in accordance with Sec.4(2) of CMR University Act, 2013.
