Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Science (SHIATS), Allahabad was established in 1910 was formerly known as Allahabad Agricultural Institute, under the leadership of Dr. Sam Higginbottom. The Allahabad Agricultural Institute was declared as a deemed university by the Government of India. The University has received B++ accreditation from national assessment and accreditation council (NAAC). The institute is a united endeavor of the Christian community in India, for promoting rural life and development in conformity with the Christian vision in relation with the human kind and the creation.
